Join us for our 2nd Annual race through the Canaan Valley, in beautiful West Virginia on Saturday and Sunday, August 22-23, 2020 (NEW POSTPONED DATE). This is a destination race like no other, with unspoiled scenery all around and miles of tranquil mountains, hiking trails, rivers and streams. Canaan Valley 5k
The Canaan Valley 5k will take place on Saturday, August 22, 2020, starting at 10am. Our Course will be finalized by the end of November, 2019. Stay tuned for course info.
Canaan Valley Half Marathon & 10k
The 2nd Annual Canaan Valley Half Marathon & 10k will take place on Sunday, August 23, 2020, starting at 8am. The race will start at the base of the Canaan Valley Ski Resort and finish at the Canaan Valley Resort inside Canaan Valley State Park.
Conquer the Valley Challenge
The Conquer the Valley Challenge is the 5k on Saturday, August 22, and the Half Marathon on Sunday, August 23. Cash Prizes for top 3 Male and Female and bonus BLING for everyone who completes both events.

You Deserve a Runcation
We will have prizes for the top 3 finishers for male/female in the Conquer the Valley Challenge, half marathon, 10k and 5k. In addition, we will have prizes for those who place top 3 in their age groups for the half marathon, 10k and 5k. All prizes will be available onsite to pick up at our award table (we do not mail prizes home). Please note we will NOT have an award ceremony, but we will have podiums available for photo opportunities. You're in Canaan Valley and will have just completed an awesome event we want you to enjoy it with everyone else.
Swag & Bling
All participants will receive a finisher medal, 1 LOCAL brew (must be 21 or older - Sunday Only), post-race snacks and awesome live music at the finish area. Due to West Virginia State Law, we are unable to serve alcohol until 10 am, so please plan on sticking around for the after-party. Half Marathon participants will all receive one of our great Hoodies and 10k participants will all receive an awesome Boco Gear Technical Trucker Cap. 5k Participants will receive an awesome 100% cotton t-shirt.
Packet Pick Up
We encourage you to pick up your registration for the Half Marathon and 10k before race day as we plan on having an early morning start. For the 5k you are more than welcome to pick up on race day, however please allow plenty of time. We are also offering two satellite packet pickups in Charleston, and Morgantown. So yes, plan on staying with us here in Tucker County, WV. After all, why wouldn’t you? It’s pretty amazing here! Friday Night's Packet Pick Up will be held from 6-9 pm. Saturday's Packet Pickup will be held from 8-3 pm. Sunday we will be offering Race Day Packet Pickup from 6:00 am until 7:30 am at the base of Canaan Valley Ski Resort. H20 & Electrolytes
The course will be stocked with 8 water stops and 4 of them will have electrolytes from our generous sponsor Endurance HQ.
Post Race Party
Want can we say... We like party and you should too after running the Canaan Valley Half Marathon & 10k! We will have a band playing on Sunday, 4/26 for post race celebrations starting 9:45 am in addition to providing a festive post race environment. We will not have live music on Saturday after the 5k, but we will create a great post race environment.
A medical team will be onsite for any hiccups that happen on both Saturday, 4/25 and Sunday, 4/26. 13.1 miles is a long way, so train well and listen to your body on race day, please!
Race & Parking Location
The good news is our start, and parking is all located at the base of the Canaan Valley Ski Resort on both Saturday and Sunday. We will have ample parking as well as an amazing venue for our start festivities. Please see the map below for directions and we will have more information coming soon.
