We love dogs, we really do, but this time we ask that you leave your pooch at home. Due to the number of runners we are expecting we cannot allow dogs on the course.

Yes strollers are allowed on the course, but please be considerate of other runners.

We will have Porta Potties and restroom options on both the 10k and Half Marathon course. Once we finalize our course in late summer of 2019 we will publish a map with all of the porta potty and restroom locations.

Yes you may change the distance that you registered for, however we do not offer refunds if you switch from the Half Marathon to the 10k. If you are switching from the 10k to the Half Marathon simply pay the price difference.

If you are injured or can’t make the race for any reason you may defer your entry for an additional fee of $20 for both the Half Marathon and the 10k. All deferrals must be completed by April 17, 2020. You can complete your deferral through Run SignUp online. Please see the link below for more information.

The Canaan Valley Half Marathon & 10k has a strict no refunds policy. You are more than welcome to transfer your registration to a friend or family member or defer until the following year.

We will have water stops approximately every 1 ½ miles and electrolytes provided by Endurance HQ at 4 different stops. 

Yes we will be offering day of packet pick up and registration, however Canaan Valley and the surronding area is such an amazing place we highly reccomend you making a weekend of it.

The Canaan Valley 5k starts at 10am on Saturday, April 25. The Half Marathon & 10k start at 8am on Sunday, April 26. 

The Canaan Valley Half Marathon & 10k is held in beautiful Canaan Valley, West Virginia in the heart of Tucker County. Both of our races will start at the base of the Canaan Valley Ski Resort and finish at the Canaan Valley Resort. Click here to see a map of the start area on our Race Information page. 

All parking for both days and races will be at the starting area and the base of the Canaan Valley Ski Resort. There will be a shuttle service to take runners and their families back to the starting area after the race from Canaan Valley Resort. 

Yes we will have a bag check at the starting area and we will transport your bags over to the finish area and have them waiting for you.
